Alossauro - Allosaurus

O Alossauro foi um grande dinossauro carnívoro que viveu no fim do período Jurássico, nos Estados Unidos e na Europa. Seu nome significa ''lagarto diferente''. O Alossauro faz parte da família dos Allosauridae, família composta por carnívoros bípedes. Fazem parte dessa família também o Giganotossauro e o Acrocantossauro. O Alossauro media de 9 à 12 metros de comprimento, e 4 metros de altura. Pesava algo entre 1,5 e 2 toneladas e era considerado o rei do Jurássico, um período ainda ''pobre'', se comparado ao Cretáceo. Por isso o Alossauro se destacava, conseguindo o posto de maior carnívoro de seu período.

Costumava caçar Saurópodes como o Apatossauro e o famoso Braquiossauro.

The Allosaurus was a big carnivore that lived during the late Jurassic period, in the USA and Europe. Its name means "different lizard". The Allousaurus is part of the Allosauridae family, composed by bipedal carnivores. Are also part of this family the Giganotosaurus and the Acrocanthousaurus. The Allosaurus measured from 9 to 12 meters length. It weighed around 1,5 and 2 tons and was considered the king of the Jurassic, a period still "poor", if compared to the Cretaceous. That's why the Allosaurus stood out, getting the place of biggest carnivore of the Jurassic.
It used to hunt sauropods like Apatosaurus and the famous Brachiosaurus.
